Pierce Hawthrone is finally leaving Greendale Community College.
Chevy Chase has announced he is leaving NBC’s Community television series after working on it for three and a half years. The departure is effective immediately and Chase won’t be filming any more episodes. The show’s 4th season returns on February 7 with a order of 13 episodes from NBC, the first eleven have already been filmed and Chase will appear in those episodes.
Chase’s exit from Community will hardly come as a surprise for fans as Chase has a very tumultuous relationship with the show’s producers and writers. Chase has a very public feud with the show’s creator Dan Harmon with Chase leaving a profanity laced message on Harmon’s phone. Harmon was fired by NBC after the end of the 3rd season.
Chase also has been difficult to work with and has regular outbursts on set with the last one occurring around a month ago. In an interview he said doing Community was a big mistake and he did it just to support his family. He also said television sitcoms were the ‘lowest form’ of television.
