Dr.Dre Tops List of Highest Earning Musicians

Dr.Dre is rolling in money; the hip-hop mogul reportedly earned $110 million between May 2011 and May 2012 making him the highest earning musician for the period.

Most of his earnings came from the sale of his Beats headphones company to cell phone giant HTC. Last year’s chart toppers U2 dropped to 4^th position with $78 million, they had made $196 million the year before due to the very successful 360 tour.

Coming in at 2^nd was former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters who collected $88 million from his The Wall tour. UK boy band Take That collected $69 million from their reunion tour.

The 18 year old Justin Bieber came at 10^th earning a total of $55 million beating female pop singers Rihanna($53 million), Lady Gaga($52 million), Katy Perry($45 million) and Beyonce($40 million).
