The receptionist at the hospital where Kate Middleton had been admitted was found dead this morning.
Suicide is suspected as the cause of death, the woman who was a receptionist at King Edwards VII hospital where Middleton was being treated for morning sickness received a prank call which she forwarded to Middleton’s room by mistake.
The prank call was made by an Australian radio station and the host pretended to be the Queen of England, the receptionist let the call thorough to Middleton’s room where a nurse answered and explained Middleton’s condition to the ‘Queen’.
The Hospital has said that Jacintha Saldanha was not suspended or disciplined in any away. We have also learned that Saldanha was not a receptionist but an on duty nurse who answered the phone as the hospital receptionist was off duty at the time.
Kate Middleton has released a statement saying she is ‘deeply saddened over this tragic loss of life’.
