Netflix and AMC are closing in on a deal to bring back The Killingfor a third season.
The Killing
The Killing which ran on AMC for two seasons faced an uncertain future after AMC decided not to pick it up for a third season. But thanks to behind the scene efforts from the production company Fox TV Studios and creator Veena Sud the show will return.
The production costs will be shared by Netflix and AMC with AMC having first run privilege. Netflix will host the episodes for online streaming shortly after the air date. Production is set to begin in February next year.
The Killing had a strong start with its first season but suffered from mediocre ratings during the second seasons as viewers became disillusioned by the controversial finale to season one.
