Disney may have found their Cinderella in actress Saoirse Ronan.
Ronan is now being reported as the frontrunner for the coveted role of Cinderella in Disney’s upcoming film. Ronan one of Hollywood’s fast rising stars has previously appeared in films like Atonement and The Lovely Bonesand is likely to his critical mass with her upcoming The Host.

Ronan does have competition though, producers are also looking at actresses Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) but Ronan is likely to get the role if her schedule allows it.
The yet untitled film is being produced by Simon Kinberg (X-Men) and Chris Weitz wrote the script. Disney green lighted the project in 2010 after the success of Alice in Wonderland.
Mark Romanek(Never Let Me Go) is directing the film and Cate Blanchett will play the evil stepmother.
