Susan Boyle Biopic
Fox Searchlight has announced plans to develop a film based on Scottish singer Susan Boyle’s life.
Fox Searchlight has acquired rights to both Susan Boyle’s life story and the UK Musical I Dreamed A Dream that’s based on her story, the plan is to combine both to develop a film.
Boyle rose to fame after her audition video on Britain’s Got Talent went viral with tens of millions views on Youtube and other social networking websites. She has since went on to release three albums with her debut album I Dreamed A Dream selling over 2 million copies worldwide in the first week.
The Musical I Dreamed A Dream opened on March 27, 2012 and recounts Susan Boyle’s life from childhood to stardom.
No directors or actors are yet attached to the project but according to British Tabloid The Sun Boyle wants George Clooney to the play the role of her manager “It’s wishful thinking. But it’s Hollywood anything can happen.”
